28. God’s Will

GOD'S WILL

When you want to know God's will in making a particular decision
you may find it helpful to consider these 6 things:

1.  The Word -- Principles in the Word will cover any topic.
    Psalm 119:96
    Example:  There is nothing in the Bible about which job you
	      should take, but Titus 3:14 tells us you should
	      WORK and it should be HONEST work.


2.  Counsel -- Proverbs 15:22, 11:14
	    But remember here that no matter what counsel you
	    get YOU are responsible for your decision.

3.  Prayer -- Psalm 143:10, Prov. 3:5,6


4.  Wisdom -- James 1:5


5.  Trust the promises -- Prov. 3:5,6  16:9


6.  Peace -- Isaiah 32:17
    Often the reason we do not have peace is because we do not
    trust the promises.
    
    How do we test and PROVE what the will of God is?  Romans 12:1,2



    It is good to remember that, more than anything else, God's will
    for you is the following:

	A. I Thes. 5:18
	B. I Peter 2:15
	C. I Thes. 4:3
